Wedding Trip

We always love it when one of Paul's brother's kids get married
Because it means a trip to Washington DC!
Paul and I love DC
even in August it was "cool"

We took some time after the wedding to go see the monuments, again, in DC.  Even though we've seen them a couple of times we never get tired of walking around to see them.  This time we started out at the Lincoln and walked all the way around the Tidal Basin and saw all of the monument.  It was a great afternoon/evening.

Can't resist this type of cheesy photo

Me in front of the Lincoln Memorial

The Korean War memorial is definitely one of my favorites
so haunting and real

The Jefferson in the background is one of Paul's favorites

It was cool to go see the new MLK monument
Its back under construction due to politics of one of the quotes on the monument

The Roosevelt monument is so impressive

a little out of order - photos from different phones, cameras

fun app i downloaded

looking very much like the tourist that I am

After seeing all the monuments we drove up to Steve and Tina's - about an hour north of Philadelphia and checked into our hotel.  We helped get ready for the reception which was on Sat after the wedding on Thursday.  Jess headed up a group of ladies (and a few brother helpers when needed) to transform the church into a beautiful reception.

Paul's brother owns this very cool corvette and he let me  sit in.  Paul even got to drive it.

What a fun get away!
